The Ruff Town Record Signee and Ghanaian Singer, Wnedy Addo, known by the stage name Wendy Shay, has showered Akufo-Addo led NPP Government with praise for their enormous contribution to the Creative Art Industry since voted into power by Ghanaian in the 2016 general election.
She emphatically stated that the NPP Government has done very great in all aspect with regards to governing the country and not only Creative Arts thus, making the NPP Government the right government for the country at large.
In an interview with Feeling Daddy on Takoradi-based FM station, Empire FM, on Showbiz Today entertainment program, she seemed to be impressed about total administration of the NPP led Government. She further noted, phenomenal policies introduced by H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy of which her relatives are also beneficiaries.
She said, “The NPP has done a lot of good work and is still doing more in the creative arts industry. If you look at some of the things they have done, even not just the creative arts industry, for example Free SHS, a lot of people have benefitted from the policy.”
“I have cousins, junior siblings in the country and they have all been beneficiaries of the Free SHS policy. So Nana Addo has done very well,” she continued.
The Ruff Town Record Signee also added that she’s waiting for the Government to provide some special stimulus packages for the Creative Art Industry players as they are also economically affected due to the COVID-19.
Wendy Shay further stressed that Concerts is one of their major sources of income generation and that the ban on social gathering has negatively impacted their income.
“Nana Addo has done a lot for the creative arts industry. However, what I am expecting from him is that as a result of COVID, many of us have made losses. So I am hoping the President will pay a courtesy call on us and provide us with some financial assistance to cover up for the loss due to the fact that we couldn’t hold concerts, ” she concluded.
