VGMA22: Eno Barony Sets New Record As She Wins Rapper Of The Year

Eno Barony, the talented Ghanaian rapper and composer, has won her first prize at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Eno Barony took up the prized title for ‘Best Rap Performance’ at the 22nd edition of the VGMAs, beating off heavyweights like Medikal, Strongman, Joey B, and Amerado.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, the Industry Awards were held in the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) and were hosted by media personality Berla Mundi

Eno Barony who has been in the rap industry for a while now and has been a threat to most male rappers sets the record as the first female rapper to win Rapper of the year in Ghana.

However,Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom (born October 30, 1995) is a Ghanaian rapper and musician who goes by the stage name Eno Barony. She was born in Tema, Accra, and rose to prominence after releasing her first single “Wats Ma Name” and “Tonga,” a remix of Joey B’s “Tonga” featuring Sarkodie, in 2014. She was said to be the first female rapper to reach a million views on YouTube.
