VGMA22: Full List Of Winners as Diana Hamilton Wins the Artist Of The Year
The 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is underway. The two-day event has already kicked off Yesterday with performances from Fameye, Ded Peepol, Yaa Yaa, Sista Afia, DopeNation, Larusso and Okyeame Kwame.
The nature of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA22) as we all know looked a bit different this year, all thanks to the dreaded coronavirus, however, it did not stop the academy to reward deserving artistes for the year under review.
The 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was divided into a two-day show to as a measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus. The show was held at the Accra International Conference Centre, on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26 which is spacious enough to admit the limited guests.
VGMA22 saw some history being made as the ‘Fante Rap God’ Kofi Kinaata won the ‘Songwriter of the Year‘ for the fourth time in a row. Adina also took home the ‘Record of the Year‘ which automatically put Richie ahead of other producers in Ghana since the ‘Sound Engineer of the Year‘ category was reserved for one who produced the song which won the Record of the Year.
