WAEC discloses that candidates from Ghana will write the 2022 edition of WASSCE alone.
The West African Examination Council, WAEC has pointed out that Ghanaian candidates will write this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) alone. Frichynews.com can confirm that.
According to WAEC, only Ghanaian candidates are left to write WASSCE 2022 which is scheduled to commence on Monday, August 1 to Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

This is due to the fact that the other four-member countries of the WAEC, namely; Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and The Gambia have all returned to the May/June calendar and had already organised their WASSCE for their various school candidates from May 9 to June 24, 2022.
The said four countries have had their academic calendars streamlined to enable them to write their WASSCE in May/June, as Ghana sticks to the ‘new normal calendar’ as a results of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
