The recent rumor circulating on the internet indicating that there will be a deduction in Professional Development Allowance (PDA) this year which has made teachers so worried.
The National Secretariat of Ghana National Association Teachers (GNAT) stated in a statement that there is a purported claim being circulated on Social Media Platforms that the Teacher Unions are planning to deduct an amount ranging from GH 295.00 to GH 430.00 from this year’s Professional Development Allowance for the purchase of Modems and Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) for teachers.
According to Rev. Isaac Owusu, National President of GNAT, the information is untrue and should be ignored or treated with the disdain it deserves.
