NEWS IN: Ministry of Education Sends Vital Message To All Teachers On The Alleged 2022 PDA Deduction

The ministry of education has released a statement concerning the purported 2022 Professional Development Allowance deduction.

In a press statement released dated 9th September 2022 by the Ministry of Education has urged all teachers to disregard the information circulating on social media and be noted that teachers remain pivotal in the promotion and development of education in Ghana and are key to the transformation agenda being executed by the Government.

PRESS RELEASE: DISREGARD ALLEGED DEDUCTION OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ALLOWANCE

The attention of the Ministry of Education has been drawn to the circulation of a false and malicious news story on social media alleging that deductions would be made from the Professional Development Allowance (PDA) of teachers, for the purpose of purchasing Modems and Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) for them.

The Ministry wishes to state that no such arrangements have been made, and as such these publications should be disregarded.

It must be noted that teachers remain pivotal in the promotion and development of education in Ghana and are key to the transformation agenda being executed by the Government.
