Just In: Nana Addo Appoints New GES Director General – [Check Details]
Following the dismissal of the director general of GES Professor Opoku Amankwah, The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo has appointed a new Director General for the Ghana Education Service.
Dr. Eric Nkansah has been appointed as the acting Director General of the Service today 19th October 2022.

Under Section 19 (1), (2) (a), and (5) of the Pre-Tertiary Education Act, 2020 (Act 1049), I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Director General of the Ghana Education Service (the Service) pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Governing Council of the Service, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
