TTAG Urges NTC to Swiftly Release GTLE Results for Teacher Recruitment
In a recent announcement, the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) expressed appreciation to the government for the timely issuance of financial clearance for the hiring of trained teachers. However, TTAG is now calling upon the National Teaching Council (NTC) to accelerate the release of the April exam results to facilitate the recruitment process for successful candidates.
With a focus on supporting teacher candidates who did not pass last year’s examination, TTAG is emphasizing the urgent need for the NTC to finalize all necessary procedures for the prompt publication of the GTLE outcomes. This step is crucial to ensure that qualified individuals who have met the requirements can promptly apply for available teaching positions.
In their official statement, TTAG conveyed their gratitude to the Government of Ghana, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, and Ghana Education Service for their collaborative efforts in addressing the concerns of trained teachers and the association. They highlighted the significance of this financial clearance for the upcoming recruitment cycle and encouraged all eligible candidates to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Moreover, TTAG acknowledged the participation of numerous trained teachers in the April 2024 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination, recognizing their commitment to enhancing their professional qualifications. In this regard, the association appealed to the NTC to expedite the processing of exam results, enabling successful candidates to apply for postings within the Ghana Education Service.
