Urgent Plea: April 2024 GTLE Candidates Petition NTC to Release Results by May 2024

A group of candidates who re-sat for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) in April 2024 are pleading with the National Teaching Council (NTC) to expedite the release of their results. The candidates, who drafted a petition letter to the NTC, are requesting that the results be released by the end of May 2024.

The GTLE is a crucial step in obtaining a teaching license, and the timely release of results is essential for candidates to progress with the next stage, thus employment. The candidates understand the NTC’s commitment to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the exam results but believe that a release by the end of May 2024 would strike a reasonable balance between thoroughness and timeliness.

The candidates are eager to receive their results to plan their next steps, whether preparing for supplementary exams or applying for teaching positions. Delayed results can significantly impact their career trajectories and future prospects.

The petition letter, sighted by (link unavailable), highlights the urgency of the situation, as the candidates hope to apply for the ongoing Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment, which closes on June 17, 2024. The timely release of their results would enable them to take advantage of this opportunity.

The candidates humbly request that the NTC make every effort to release the RESITORS exam results by the end of May 2024. They appreciate the NTC’s attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt response.

We support the candidates in their plea and urge the NTC to consider their request. The timely release of results would not only benefit the candidates but also the education sector as a whole.
