The 2024 WASSCE results are on hold over the government’s GHC118 million indebtedness.

In a press release issued and signed by its head of public affairs, John K. Kapi on Monday, December 10, 2024 as seen by Myfrichy.com, the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, revealed constraints in the release of the 2024 WASSCE results, due to government’s failure to disburse additional funds out of an outstanding debt of GH¢118 Million, to be used in the repair of objectives scanning machines.

The council stated that the scanning of the objective cards is yet to be completed due to the breakdown of scanners used for the process.

It is further stated in the release that the council is awaiting the release of the additional funds out of the GHC118,000,000.00 from the Ministry of Education for the repair of the scanners to enable the scanning process and other post examination processes to continue smoothly.

The council, by this, asks members of the public to disregard any purported dates for the release of results.
